APEC Finance Meetings to start tomorrow in Trujillo

The Peruvian city of Trujillo, La Libertad, will be venue of the Finance Meetings of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC), to be held on November 2-6.

The Draft Session will start tomorrow until November 3, and will take place at the facilities of Gran Hotel El Golf.

The above-mentioned session and the Deputies Meting, from November 4-6, will be preparatory events for the 15th APEC Finance Ministers’ Meeting.

This Finance meeting will tackle the turbulence of the financial market as well as food and commodities prices, and will be attended by Economy ministers and vice-ministers of APEC member countries.

Officials of financial organizations such as the Asian Development Bank, the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will also take part in these meetings.

Among the topics to be discussed by these specialists are the Reform of the Capital Market and the Improvement of Quality of Social Expenditure, including the modalities of Budget by results, which is a project presented by Peru.
